Our last few weeks in North Carolina were bittersweet. While we looked forward to our upcoming move to Madrid, we were very sad to be leaving the great friends we had made. We spent our last several weekends trying to accomplish typical "Wilmington" type things - touring the Bellamy mansion, going to Wrightsville Beach, walking around the riverfront, etc. We also managed to fit in one last- minute weekend trip to D.C.
Our church gave us a going-away party the day before we left. Thanks to Steve and Debbie Love for hosting and Lamya Reynolds for helping plan everything, and to everyone for all the great food!

For the last four nights before leaving, we slept on these. We borrowed a mattress from our neighbor next door for me, and Andrew got the air mattress. :)
These were our eating arrangements.
Andrew insisted on proving to me that this bag would be big enough for some things I needed to pack. I was unconvinced at first, but when I found him like this, I was persuaded.

Hey look-- it's an Andrew-in-a-bag! It completes any college dorm room and is great for camping trips. :-) LOVE the blog updates and... I MISS YOU! We never got to have our long chat before you left. :-( Maybe we can find time to talk when my kids are napping and Eden is asleep... the 7 hour time difference might work out!
