A trip to Lisbon

For our anniversary trip this year, we packed up and drove to Lisbon, Portugal. It was a beautiful city and we enjoyed our time there so much. We visited some museums, a monastery, a couple famous cafes, and went on self-guided walking tours. We also took a day trip to nearby Sintra, a lovely little town with a palace built right into a mountaintop!

We found the people in Lisbon very friendly and welcoming, and enjoyed the cheaper prices compared to Madrid. We were amazed that all we had to do was hop in our car and drive six hours and were able to visit such a neat place. (OK, it is certainly not THAT easy with a baby and pregnant woman, but you get the idea.) Our plan (hope) is to go back at least a few times before our tour here ends.
